Just a heads up on leaving comments; it’s the basic WordPress comment system, and requires a name+email to post. (That was the only way I could let people post freely after approving their first comment.)

It’s not perfect, but I didn’t want to pay for the ad-free version of Disqus and I’m committed to not bogging down the site with any laggy/ugly ads. Hope this is an acceptable decision!

It always makes me happy when old readers are still around or able to rediscover WOE. Things are currently on a break while I deal with some personal stuff, but the whole comic has been hard-rebooted so hopefully it’s fun getting caught up and seeing what’s changed!

I first found this comic on Smackjeeves and I remember reading it all and really enjoying it. When I saw that it was up I said, out loud, “YES!!” I am sooo excited to read this story again after all this time!
Thanks so much, it always warms the heart to know how many SJ fans stuck around all this time! Hope the new version of the story doesn’t disappoint!
Question: Is there a way to view the original comic too?
Not anymore, no. I apologize, I myself tend to be the type to bemoan the loss of any art or media and champion archiving things, but my feelings regarding the original comic and my feelings regarding how I engage with the online world have evolved a lot in ways that I just didn’t feel comfortable leaving it freely accessible anymore.
I’m not sure if you’re asking just out of curiosity or if you’re an old reader from SJ/CF, but I hope you can forgive me for burying it, so to speak.
